Task the sky on demand

Nexma SatelliteEngine tasks satellites for new imagery on demand. Search the global archive and commission fresh captures over any point on Earth — optical, SAR, and multispectral — across every commercial provider from one interface. New imagery lands straight in the world model, ready to analyze. When you need a current look and the latest pass is weeks old, you command a new one instead of waiting.

Core concepts

When you need a current look at a location, the data rarely exists yet — and getting it usually means revisit cycles, separate provider portals, and a GeoTIFF stitched into your tools by hand. SatelliteEngine closes that loop.

  • Search the archive. Query the global catalog across providers by area, date window, sensor, resolution, and cloud cover — and price every option side by side.
  • Task new captures. When the archive is not enough, commission a fresh capture over your area of interest and track it from tasked to delivered.
  • Every sensor. Order optical, all-weather SAR, or multispectral imagery — SAR sees through cloud and at night, so weather never stops collection.
  • Delivered to the world model. Every capture is written into the DataStore as a georeferenced layer, instantly available to every view and tool.
Searching finds imagery that already exists. Tasking commissions a capture that does not exist yet — a fresh collection over your area of interest, on demand.

How it works

SatelliteEngine runs the front half of the observe-to-act loop: request imagery, get it delivered into the world model, and flow it straight into analysis.

1Need: a current look at an area the archive doesn't cover 2 1. Search query the cross-provider catalog (area · date · sensor · cloud) 3 2. Task commission a new capture; pick optical, SAR, or multispectral 4 3. Track follow the order — tasked → acquiring → processing → delivered 5 4. Deliver write a georeferenced layer into the DataStore 6 5. Analyze flow straight into the InsightEngine for detection and change

Discover, task, deliver

One catalog spans the commercial constellation — Maxar, Airbus, Planet, Capella, Umbra and more — so you compare and order without switching tools.

StageWhat you get
DiscoverArchive search by area, date, sensor, resolution, and cloud cover; transparent per-scene pricing clipped to your AOI; provider-agnostic catalog
TaskNew collection over any AOI; optical, SAR, and multispectral; full order tracking with live status and ETA
DeliverGeoreferenced layer in the DataStore; ready for the InsightEngine; time-aware history per area

Closing the loop

Because deliveries land in the world model rather than your inbox, a new capture flows directly into InsightEngine for detection and change analysis — observe, decide, task, repeat. Every capture also persists with its timestamp, so imagery over an area builds a temporal record, not a one-off file. An agent can even task a capture as a step inside an AgentEngine workflow, turning "we need fresh eyes here" into an automated action.

Optical, SAR, and multispectral across every provider, searched, priced, and ordered from one interface — with SAR collecting through cloud and dark.
