Autonomous Engineering of the Physical World through Ontologies and Verifiable Optimization
Nexma Research · May 2026 · Preprint
A single domain-agnostic agent that engineers buildable infrastructure end to end. Generality comes from an ontology — a typed world model the agent operates through generic primitives — and feasibility from a formulate–solve–validate optimization loop in which nothing is committed until it is checked against the domain's physical constraints. We work the architecture through fiber-to-the-home network design and show, on real solver runs, the same code path engineering a second domain by changing only the ontology.
